Odds Chart
The following Texas Holdem odds table highlights some common probabilities that you may encounter in Hold'em. It is not vital that you learn these probabilities, but it is useful to be aware of the chances of certain situations arising.
The Odds is like a side bet in craps made after a point is thrown. It pays if the point is thrown before a seven. The odds on the Odds are exactly fair, which zero house edge. To be specific, the Odds pays 2 to 1 on points of 4 and 10, 3 to 2 on a 5 and 9, and 6 to 5 on a 6 and 8.

The numbers chart is color coded so that all odd numbers are highlighted in blue and even numbers in purple. The blue highlight makes it very clear that any number that ends in 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9 is an odd number. The purple highlight makes it clear that numbers ending in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 0 are an even number.
What are odd and even numbers?
Quite simply, an even number is a number that can be divided evenly by two. For example, the number 6 can be divided into two groups of three.
Odd Numbers Chart
An odd number can not be divided evenly into two groups, it will have a remainder of one. For example, the number seven can be divided into two groups of three with a remainder of one.
How to use the chart
- Print out the chart and stick it on a wall, door or fridge for easy reference.
- Develop a daily routine where you practice with your child different odd and even exercises to develop your child’s familiarity with the concept. You could pick a number from the odd and even number chart and give your child an appropriate number of buttons to divide into two groups. If the buttons all successfully ‘pair up’ then it is an even number. If there is an ‘odd man out’ then it is an odd number.
- Explore with your child what happens when you add an even number with an odd number or add an odd number with another odd number. Similarly there are interesting rules to explore with the multiplication of odd and even numbers.
