Player Advantage vs. Dealer Up Card

Effects of Removing Cards from a Deck

Coming into this Summit League Tournament matchup, North Dakota sits at 9-16 overall. The Hawks are 3-1 in their last four and coming off a win over Omaha. North Dakota has struggled at staying consistent this year, and they’ve only won consecutive games once so far. The Hawks have played better lately, however; they’re 3-1 in their last four outings. North Dakota has wins over South Dakota (twice) and Omaha in that span.

In the 81-69 win over Omaha on February 20, North Dakota’s Bentiu Panoam put up 19 points with five rebounds, and Filip Rebraca doubled up on 17 points with 13 boards. Ethan Igbanugo chipped in with 16 points, four assists and two boards as well.
Over on the Oral Roberts side, they started out the year on a choppy 3-5 run, but then won six of their next seven games. Since then the Eagles have gone 4-4. They’ve got wins over North Dakota State, South Dakota State and Western Illinois in that stretch.
In the 95-59 win over Western Illinois last weekend, Oral Roberts’ Max Abmas led the team on 25 points with three rebounds and three assists. Kevin Obanor doubled up on 12 points with 12 rebounds, and Kareem Thompson notched 12 points with two boards and two assists.
Oral Roberts is 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win and 2-6 ATS in their last eight after a straight-up win. The Eagles are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Sunday games and the over is 4-1 in their last five Sunday games.
Meanwhile, the Hawks are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 neutral-site games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Sunday games. The over is 10-1 in North Dakota’s last 11 overall and 6-1 in the last seven Sunday games.
PICK: I’m going to stick with Oral Roberts. The Eagles have been scoring pretty well this year on the whole, and they’ve hit 80 or more points in each of their last six outings. The last time these teams met up, they split a pair—North Dakota won 72-71 and Oral Roberts took one 74-57. This should be a competitive matchup, but I think the Eagles can keep the pace and bag a cover.
